A tragic road accident in N’Dali, Benin, has claimed the lives of four people, including two children. The collision occurred on Thursday, May 29, 2025, in Kakara, a locality within the commune of N’Dali, situated in the Borgou department. According to local radio station Su Tii Sua, a vehicle traveling from Malanville collided with a motorcycle carrying a couple and their two children. The impact resulted in the immediate deaths of the mother, both children, and the driver of the vehicle.

The father, who was driving the motorcycle, sustained severe injuries and was promptly transported to a local health center for urgent medical attention. Sources indicate he has been admitted to intensive care. Law enforcement officials arrived at the scene to conduct the necessary investigations. Following authorization from the public prosecutor, the bodies of the deceased were released to their families for burial.

This incident is part of a concerning trend, with several traffic accidents reported recently in Benin. Just days prior, in Ita-Djèbou, Sakété commune, seven members of a single family died in a collision between a truck and a passenger vehicle, highlighting the growing concerns around road safety in the country.
